No it would create a shock wave. The wave would travel through the air until it hit an ear. The ear drum would vibrate those little bones which would cause the fluid in the ear to move some hairs. The nerves attached to the hairs would transport an impulse to the brain. Once in the brain if you insist that shock wave could be classed as a sound, but its really a feeling.
