It will really depend on the weather. You could get locked in somewhere because of bad weather. Otherwise, Christmas is a great day to travel because hardly anybody does it until afternoon.

I am sure that they will have some kind of Christmas dinner. Many international flights offer some free alcohol, but as someone said, they might offer champagne. I am sure that being Christmas, they will be friendly. You will probably also be saving some $ by flying on Christmas Day. When you arrive in the US, you'll still get in in time to see the beautiful Christmas decorations in the store windows. Dec. 26 is the traditional day for after Christmas sales on Christmas decorations, fruitcakes, wrapping paper and all kinds of merchandise (ipods, laptops, sweaters, etc.) but you'll have to get up early (ppl run into the stores as soon as the doors open in the a.m.).

Christmas day is not for over 6 months. I have nothing planned. Christmas can be boring. The new year is more exciting.

flying is crazy sence 9/11. so to be flying on x-mas day has got to be insane!!!! why in the world would fly on that day?good luck and have a blast in the states!!!!!you may not want to go home.

They used to give you Champagne and prezzies.. but with all the cut backs in in-flight service.. I doubt you will get this anymore unfortunately..
