We are already involved in WW3, only right now it's just a smoldering cigarette in the seat cushion of world politics. It hasn't flared up yet, but it will because not enough people realize the danger, so it will have to get worse before it gets better.
Russia is not the threat, Terrorism is. It knows no borders, and has no conscience. Putin's term is up soon, and he needs to manufacture a crisis so that he can suspend the upcoming elections. Also, the more unstable the Middle East is , the more valuable the oil that Russia has becomes. Putin's just being opportunistic, but he's still sane.

Bush should just let the Russians have Europe. The Muslims include it as their world for Islam as it is and nothing will change that. The endgame started when Albania flushed 650,000 Muslims for religious treason from Albania in the 1990s. That set off a chain reaction.
