I personally don't believe it does, but some people will swear up and down about the negative side effects, and will state that it affects fertility.

I had an abortion aug. of 2006 and im 36.5 weeks pregnant right now. But it could go both ways it could effect it, or nothing at all. I would say though that I wish I could take it back the memories and the pain is not worth it no matter what. Hopefully your sister thinks long and hard about this. And tell her to research it. Look at pics do all that before she goes through with it. It is sooooo not worth it. Tell her she should think about adoption. Good luck tho

Don't believe the hype--people will try to convince her that abortion will mess with your health and fertility in the hopes of her choosing adoption instead. This is all a ploy and they will out-and-out lie to you to get their propaganda across. In some cultures, a baby isn't even considered to have a soul until it is born. People need to realize that their religious viewpoints are not the only ones in the world.

i've had 2 and a miscarriage. for a while i thought that i did then i got pregnant and had a beautiful baby boy. if you have more than 3 abortions then the chances of carrying a baby to term is hard

Speaking from someone who had an abortion, the answer is that it will NOT affect your future fertility, provided it is done at a reputable clinic and you follow postop instructions. Though much pro-life drivel will have you believe that it is dangerous to have an abortion, it is actually statistically more dangerous to carry the child to term. Abortion is clean and safe (thanks to Roe v. Wade)

i think it is up to the individual body[every ones body is not the same and some people s organs handle trauma different ]however it is a very personal decision only your sister can answer .also their are other factors to look at/personal risk/health risks/will your sister be able to care for the baby/does she have a partner etc/there are so many questions of a very personal nature /just be there for her and stand by her whatever decision she makes.

No, unless there was some sort of complication with the abortion (and if there was, you'd know), then it doesn't affect future pregnancy chances at all. This is based on several friends' personal experiences and everything I have read on the subject.

Only if it's sloppy job, when fetal parts are left in the womb will indeed affect chances of pregnancy. I had one done few years ago, but nothing happened to me, I had a son.

if it is done correctly, than absoulutely not.
sometimes there are complications that can affect you later in life, but for the most part, if shouldnt affect a womans fertility.
