NOOOO!!! Absolutely not. Personally I thought Gannon should have been the starter the whole time he was backing up Elvis. Elvis was on the sideline with a broken collarbone and Gannon had led the Chiefs to victory in each of the final six games of the season starting with a comeback against Denver and John Elway. The game was played in horrible conditions and Grbac hadn't seen action for almost 2 months - for no reason except an injury to Gannon should he have been starting.

Well, if i remember that game correctly KC had the ball at the end and got off 3 plays in the final two minutes. Was that due to the quarterback or to Marty? And would it have made any difference who the quarterback was when the Curse of Marty was in full force?

Yes. Gannon wasn't doing so hot, not like he did in Oakland.
