At what point, if ever, does communication, negotiation, and empathy fly out the window, and violent acts are justified? (Just playing devil's advocate here, all)

Yes, I believe so.

There was a Lutheran pastor named Deitrich Bonhoeffer who, although he abhorred violence, ultimately decided to involve himself in the plot to kill Hitler, for he concluded that although it was a violent act, he was convinced that Hitler had no plans to stop his annihilation of the Jews and his tyrannical rule over Europe.

Bonhoeffer wrote about this in his book, The Cost of Discipleship. It reminds readers that if they choose to do things like that, then they must also be prepared to face the consequences.

Bonhoeffer practiced what he preached. He was hanged by the Nazis after the attempt on Hitler's life failed. And he went to his death without regret of having participated in the attempt.

I'm pretty happy that someone violently stood up against Hitler in world war 2.
PS, isn't it ironic that a black person is the only one here who made a racist comment?

Yeah.
Like, when someone has a pistol in your ear and is distracted for a second, and you just so happen to have another pistol is your pocket.
At that point, I'd say its okay to knock their gun out of their hand and shoot THEM in the head.

Yes. Murderer just killed a bunch of people, now surrounded by police, they say "drop your weapon". Murderer turns and fires. Police respond now with violence. The end.
