If you want to get technical, the very first division made among animals is between the parazoa and the eumetazoa (this is a 'subregnum' or 'subkingdom', falling between kingdom and phylum in classification). Parazoans don't have tissues of any kind... the only living parazoan is the sponge. So I suppose this might not be considered a 'major' group.

Eumetazoa has at least three subgroups: placozoa (asymmetric, like the tricoplax), radiata (radially symmetric, a disputed group), and bilateria (bilaterally symmetric, like darn near everything else). If we've only gotten this far because parazoa isn't major, I don't suppose you'll think that placozoa and radiata are major either.

Whether or not you thought the above ones were major, the next branching certainly is. Bilateria is split into at least two groups, which are the deuterostomia and the protostomia (these are superphyla, so we're STILL between kingdom and phylum).

The defining characteristic that distinguishes these two groups occurs in embryonic development - in protostomes the first opening becomes the mouth (this group includes all insects and most worms) and in deuterostomes the first opening becomes the anus (which includes everything with a spine, starfish, and the rest of the worms). By species count, the protostomes are the far more numerous of the two!

Hope that helps!

They were selling goods and services in the house of God what he did was right and just he drove out the cattle and sheep with the whip does not say he used on the people the passage continues that he overturned the tables of the money changers..Did you read the whole passage? Mark 11v13 Seeing a fig tree in leaf ,he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it,he found nothing but leaves because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree "May no one ever eat fruit from you again" And his disciples heard him say it. If you look at Matthew 21v19 The except leaves Normally the fruit and leaves appear at same time. The curse on the tree is illustrative of the rejection of Israel a Nation unfruitful despite its advantage. Luke 12v47 Slavery was a fact of life in Jesus day he illustrates what a Master would do to his slave He does not advocate slavery Read it again! Matthew 15 22-28 A caanite woman from the vicinity came to him and Cries out to him "Lord son of David have mercy on me,My daughter is suffering terribly from demon possesion Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged "send her away for she keeps crying out after us" He answered "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. The woman came and knelt before him "Lord ,Help me! she said....He replied "It is not right to take the childrens bread and toss it to the dogs. Yes Lord she said but even dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their Masters table"Then Jesus Answered Woman, you have great faith! Your request is grantred. You need to read all the scripture! Matthew 10v34 Jesus many times used hyberbole (Exagerration) he is saying that if you follow him it will cost much that controversey will follow you because of him. Matthew 19v29 again he uses it to say that the people who follow will pay a price. He is giving people fair warning about the cost of Discipleship Jesus lived a sinless blameless life..The only fool here is you it would be wise of you to learn to read the Bible you always read before and after the scripture you our reading, you like the JW's pick out scripture to justify what they our trying to say. Are you a JW? search your heart read the scriptures open your heart so Christ can open your eyes quit posting untruths you know not of what you speak! Message to Johnn What does it mean when Jesus said I and the Father are one? Thomas also said to Jesus My Lord and my God? Jesus was fully man and fully God or nothing was done at the cross. Read those scriptures again he did not kill the tree he said it would not bear fruit. Comeon the money changers should not have been in the temple with animals if you truly are a student you know this and learn to spell yahweh! Jesus crying out on the cross was a fullfillment of phropecy of Psalm 22v1 This is hundreds of years before Christ Birth read the scriptures and believe!
