Yes, I did as a teen. Some of it was due to peer pressure but most of it had to do with a very bad home life and I was just looking for some kind of escape. It never really helped though because after the high wore off, all the misery was right back there again along with a few added problems from the smoking pot.

Not as a teen, but as a college student. I did it because I liked the way it made me feel. The reason you shouldn't do it is because your life will be stuck in a rut for as long as you are on it. The best years of my life, I was a pot head. But, I didn't have a good job. I didn't have a girl. I didn't live in a nice house. I dropped out of school. My parents wouldn't talk to me. Since I quit, I have all those things I didn't when I was smoking, but I still miss it every day. Oh, to be young and dumb, what a wonderfull bliss. I miss you Mary Jane.

Peer pressure had nothing to do with me smoking pot. As far as telling people not to, I feel adults can make their own decisions regarding any drug. The government keeps alcohol legal even though it causes more deaths then marijuana. To date, there has never been a death caused by marijuana. It is impossible to over dose on pot. Alcohol, on the other hand, sends thousands of people to the hospital for alcohol poisoning.
I will say one thing, NOBODY SHOULD DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY DRUG!

I've smoked pot for 17 years and it's great. I regret doing the 100's of hits of acid I did. I still feel funny.

no it wasn't because of peer pressure, i was the one pressuring my peers...

i think pot and GEDs are great and highschool is nothing more than elaborate daycare. most will disagree. that's quite natural.

i think kids shouldn't take so much advice... and think for themselves a bit more... imagine that!! kids with brains! wow!

it's certainly not something the modern educational system cultivates.

Anybody taking illegal drugs or smoking anything, let alone ;pot' is a loser. Drugs cause irreversible brain damage and if you need 'kicks' get them naturally by indulging in physical activities, sports and so on. If you bow to peer pressure then you're lowering yourself to their level. Show them how adult you are by refusing.
