ive heard so many weird ones in my school.. we used to call some tall guy dolphin cos his mouth was pointing out... someone called cheese, another called hitler cos he had a moustache, and my sister calls my next door neighbour "shrimp" cos hes so little

we called a guy in school "prawn" hes short and fat

I agree. There are some nicknames I really like-- Lucy for Lucille or Addie for Addison-- but those are just ready-made nicknames and I would probably just use them some or most of the time, because why give my child the full name if I don't like it enough to use it? But yeah, I don't understand why EVERY name has to have a nickname.
