I have a situation that involves my brother (who is facing imminant death) Due to neglect of "The System". I need to find a good pro bono attorney who can help me. I am in Portland, Oregon. Any helps and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
(For those who may not know, a pro bono attorney is one who is willing to fight your case without pay until you win it). Thanks again!

Be sure to write your case down in detail, with dates, ages, places, etc. Then you search for malpractice lawyer in Portland, then paste your case on the form many of those lawyers web site have. Usually the web site will ask you several questions, answer them all.
The suggestion to get on the phone and start calling lawyers is also good.
I did this in Miami, sent 5 and got a phone call the next day.
By the way, pro bono means for free.
Your case may be a contingency case, not pro bono.

Actually a lawyer that is willing to fight your case without pay until you win it is representing you on a contingency basis and not pro bono.

Pro bono is short for Pro Bono Publico meaning "for the good of the people" ....and as the term suggests, he works for free. It's an altruistic thing.

As far as your brother's situation is concerned, try your local legal aid office is the best advice I can come up with.

Start knocking on door making your case. If they can't help you the ask if they know of someone that might be able to help you. You could go to the Local TV station and plead your case with them and the News paper as well. Every town and city has public defenders some worth there salt and some not. You'll have to do some foot work for this to get anything done.

Get on the phone and starting calling lawyers, if you have a case one will take your case. If the first lawyer can't take your case maybe they will be able to refer you to one who specializes in pro bono work. Of course the lawyer will review the facts and determine for himself if you have a case. They like to take on winning cases.

Ummmmmm....what is the problem? Is he in health danger? If it is a potential criminal case then i am not touching it...perhaps he is at fault. Your question is too vague..please explain.
