They are both overpriced for what you get. And Apple having better components is untrue, they both now use the same components down to the CPU. The ONLY difference is Mac's operating system and its lack of available software.

I've Been Using A Mac (Apple) Computer For The Last 7 Years And Can Tell You I've Never Had The Multitude Of Problems I've Seen Listed Here For PC (Windows) Users. You Can See For Yourself How Many Problems/Questions PC (Windows) Users Have. Granted, There ARE More PC (Windows) Users Out There But, Still I Think You Get The Idea. As For Price, The Old Saying Goes - "You Get What You Pay For" Is Certainly True For Computers. And As Someone Else Mentioned The New Macs (With The INTEL Processor) Can Run Both Windows And The Mac OS To Make The Switch Easier If You Already Own A Lot Of Software. Good Luck!!

Isn't the question really Mac or PC?
Dell uses generic parts which have a higher failure rate. Apple uses a little higher end components and is more proprietary making the hardware more reliable.
The Best all around computer would be a Custom built PC. Probably From dwcomputers.ca or ncix.com or anitec.ca.
This will ensure a high quality level and provide you with vast functionality and the most compadibility. That being said if your planning to write music, or do videos i would recommend buying a MAC. They have better software for all levels of users for that specfically.

Kind of depends on what you are doing with the computer, if you plan on doing a lot of art and design work Macs are #1. If you run business apps/games dell is the way to go. I'm an IT guy at my jobs and work with dells all day, personally I would choose dell over apple.

Hi,
There was a time when I used to answer this question saying that Apple and PC are different architectures, however in present day, they are both based Intel X86 processor based architecture hence I would suggest you to get an Apple. Apple comes with an operating system which is safe from viruses and web attacks. The new Apple computers are also compatible with Microsoft Windows OS.

Don't get a dell for one. As for Mac....Go to Compusa and compare specs side by side. You'll see how overpriced Mac's really are. For the same price you can get a PC with the same processor speed, twice the memory, twice the storage and room to upgrade. Not to mention the Front Side Bus speed of Mac is less than half in most cases. Mac people if you don't believe me go look. The reason why is competition. So many PC companies trying to under sell each other drives down cost.

Neither. Voodoo PC is probably the best PC builder. Just be prepared to spend a *LOT* of money.

But I have a feeling a Mac might be more up your alley....
