Jealousy is one heck of an emotion. If a person doesn't have enough responsibility, rationality, and maturity, jealousy could totally tear this person apart.

Because most of the time people are in denial about being jealous in the first place. Those who are constantly jealous probably have very little will power over their jealousy. They need to focus on their own destiny instead of comparing themselves to others. Jealousy also could be a by-product of other problems in their lives, such as poor family relations or the need for more attention. Or they could just have too much time on their hands, that is why they are so concerned with other people. Either way, they are acting immature and it is best to avoid them whenever possible or face suffering the consequences (I learned this one the hard way).

Jealousy is a very powerful emotion. It can take on a life of its own, if you let it. They don't call it a monster for nothing. I believe if you have love and peace in your heart, jealousy cannot live there. :)

some people let take jealousy take over them because they think they need to be beter than everyone when they know there not.

Because your mind plays games with you and allows you to believe whatever you want if you don't communicate with the other person. The mind is a terrible thing to waste - so communication is key.

It's a nasty green eyed human emotion that makes your adrenaline pump...you have to work hard not to let it take over!
