Yes. Make sure you enable encryption on the wireless router. It is not enebled by default. Read the help files or the manual to find out how to do this. It is usuall simple. Encryption prevents people who do not have the "key" to access and use your wireless router.

Yes its more risky! Well, you can reduce the chances to a big extent if you secure your line with a very hard password. For example your password should be a mixture like this one: @FG545%&^$#^&*54. Hackers are currently developing software that try's to hack unsecured lines. Don't be happy that u are safe by securing your line with a tough password. It's still vurnerable (I know the spelling is wrong)

With no or wrong encryption, yes, so start using WPA which is a much stronger method.
