a friend of mine wants to start a gold fish pond and doesn't know what to do. what do you do

Dig a hole
get some water
put the water in the hole
put the fish in the hole with water in it
and that is how you make a gold fish pond.

they make ready made pond liners and sell them at lowes and home depot and places like that. the biggest ones are about 70.00.
you need some kind of water pump too. -- it can get expensive.
