It only has to choices in the start up screen, "Go through a secret passage" or "Make and accusation". There are times when the inspector wants to talk to you but you only have to choices "OK" which mainly repeats the "i have a question for you" or "Continue My turn first", therefor none allows you to hear what he has to say. How do you get to choose the other choices and how to do you get to find out what the inspector wants to tell you? Thanks.

This is a confusing game to play until you play it all the way through the first time.
The game will only give you a few options at first.. after several people move you can get more options opened. But listening to what the inspector has to say (per the rulebook) counts as someone's turn AND it can do things like open the other options up.
You may want to read the manual or watch the tutorial in order to find out how to listen to the inspector. When it pops up and says the inspector wants to talk to you.. you can hit the button at that point and listen to what he has to say. If you're not seeing the button options, you may want to check to see if you're playing the game in 'full screen' mode (presuming you're using a widescreen TV).
