So, i was absent yesterday when they announced class presidents would be running by friday and elections tuesday for next year (freshman yr). so i told this kid that i might run, and he said "nobody would vote for you, you aren't popular enough". i burst out in tears when i got home. this really hurt my feelings. i'm friends with literally everyone in our class and thought i had a chance until this comment. should i run? or would it be too humiliating?

If this is something you really want to do, and you have the opportunity to do it? Go right ahead. If you don't make President this year, you can always try again next year. You will not always be successful in everything you do , but that is life. Not everyone will like you, and others will, that also is life. Don't listen to what other people have to say, you do what you think is best for you, and you follow your dreams, Don't let a few people hunt you down like a duck.
