I listen to rap, and always wonder, are any of you girls offened by some of the lyrics in the music. Even the tamest rap has terms such as b-i-t-c-h.

The question isnt if you like rap or not, its whether girls get offened.

YES! I find it entirely offensive and 100% degrading. Rap, when it first began, was a fun kind of music - even when it wasn't "fun" it was at least trying to say SOMETHING. Now it says NOTHING - it's all about using women for sex, using/selling drugs, etc. etc. and so on. It's disgusting.

Most of the time I an not offened but there are some artist who take it too far then it becomes an issue.

It also depends on what context they use the words in because you some people really act like the words the songs use.

I happen to luv rap music and i am not offened by what they say about women. All they are doin is makin money by selling records. If everyone quit buying the music that some women find degrading then they wouldnt rap about it anymore. Besides why should any women be offened by someone that they do not know. If you know that you do not fit into the category that they are talkin about then shut-up and let the rest of us hear the music. -If you dont like it, don't listen to it, dont like to watch it, turn the damn channel-

I am a girl. And yes that stuff is offending. I mean, I don't mean to be rude, but girls now, feel rejected and feeling bad enough now, and I think that when something provocative that cusses like that, is said...Then I think that it should be turned off. Girls hate when people play stuff that says stuff..Even if they don't admit it. If you want to listen to good clean rap music...Then I would suggest, wherever you live to go to www.way.fm and listen live on there. They do have some slow music. But I can also suggest some really good rappers. Such as Family Force 5, KJ-52, Tobymac, etc. If you need more, then I will leave you one later. Or you can e-mail me at jesus.roxmyworld@yahoo.com My name is rachel

Naw, (no) I'm not offended by terms in rap songs related to females. I love rap, hip hop, r&b. I really don't care because it's just not rap music if you lived in the hood or the projects or anywhere people listen to rap music this is how we talk to each other b-i-t-c-h has gotten to be normal like yo b-i-t-c-h what's up? Just like hoe this hoe that it's just a song so stop being a punk.

Look... I'm gonna put it to you like this -

If your a groupie, a hoe, a b***h or any other form of female that rappers tend to recite lyrics about that's your bad.

Why should I be offended - I have never f'd a rapper on groupie status. I actually used to date an underground MC and there were chicks all over him acting like hoes & bitches.

I don't get offended - they are just tellin' it like it is

Olivia - you "love rap but don't pay attention to the lyrics?" WTF is that!?

I am not offended. I love rap and will support it until I die. I am a 28 year old female. Theese terms describe a certain type of woman that is acting in a certain manner. If you know HIP HOP there is no way for you to be offended unless you are that B*I*T*C*H!

I think the context of the words is very demeaning towards women. Like a woman is basically boobs, booty, and a way to produce as many kids that you cant support as possible.

I really can't stand the "baby's momma generation."

You know what I am talking about.
