ACDC, but that's a tough one.

I liked Van Halen better in their prime, but when examining the whole of the career it's got to be ACDC

Hard question AC/DC have went through two stages and Van Halen three.
And I am not talking about the number of singers.
With David Lee Roth era VH they were the same as AC/DC in the lines of music. Each song had different sound but the same vocal tone.
Hard choice.

Van Halen, and only because they appeal to a broader audience. AC/DC play generally the same head banging rock(not that there's anything wrong with that). Van Halen's music is more melodic, and sometimes they create a ballady type song that is catchy, like Jump, or Right Now.

Van Hagar - I like Sammy more than Dave. Sammy is a guitarist and Dave is a choirboy. Sammy's playing gives Eddie time to play the keys and smoke a cig.

Rock On My Brother.
