Could you tell me if this is for real or totally Bogus?

LOTTERY INC &MICROSOFT WINDOWS LIVE.
You are to contact the events manager on or before your date of
Claim, Winners Shall be paid in accordance with his/her Settlement.

I answered the email (don't worry, I didn't enter any information) as a joke and the guy instant messaged me!

Unfortunately these things are a scam. Wouldn't it be great to win all that money!

Did you PLAY a Yahoo! lottery?

Yahoo doesn't have one. These are all scams. You could contact Yahoo (don't use any links on the email you received) and see what they say, but this one sounds like a bad one.

This is a blatant way to steal your identity/information and commit fraud. Pay attention to news stories on TV and in the newspapers!!

Scam. I've received similar e-mails to claim my "prize". I delete them and NEVER click onto their link.
