Your state MAY have a three day recission right on such contracts. Such laws vary from state to state. However, if your state does not have such a provision, you may only cancel with the agreement of the landlord involved.

Start checking immediately to see if your are protected by the three day right in your area.

Give it a try - the sooner the better. Depends what was agreed to, so check the lease.

Get out your copy of the lease---see what it says. If no
restrictions, send future landlord certified letter indicating you do not intend to occupy the rental.
