Indians and Tigers.
Even though Cleveland holds a 5-2 lead this year--these teams are gunning hard at each other. I was at 2 of the 3 games at Jacobs Field this past week--and the place was like a playoff atmosphere. The players tood againts the dugout fence the entire series--very intense. The managers managed the game like it was playoff baseball--tempers errupted. Some of the best pitchers in MLB are involved in this series: Verlander,Sabathia,Byrd,Robertson,Bonderman, Ordonez,Sheffield,Sizemore,Hafner,Martinez are some of the best hitters in the A.L.
That game Friday night when the Indians were down 11-7 in the 9th with one out--and won-that was thrilling. More to come I'm sure.

I like a potential three, no check that, FOUR way rivalry in the NL west. The Padres, DBacks, Dodgers, and maybe the Giants could all be real close in the final week. The new best division in baseball that people don't sweat but should.

Braves/ Mets will get nasty.

A.L. central will be a dogfight...

I can't pick just one...

Cleveland/Detroit

These two teams seem to battle till the bottom of the 9th inning everytime they play. Scoring a ton of runs each time as well. This rivalry will continue to heat up as the season goes on and the playoff race becomes tighter!

These people ned to learn how to read, he said instead of NY/Boston who is the most interesting rivalry

also nobody cares about NY/Boston unless they are from either NY/Boston, or a bandwagon fan. I don't know anyone who would care even if it were close. Pretty arrogant of those fans to think everyone is just watching them.

Cleveland/Detroit, they have only played 7 games so far and it has already been interesting, so this series can only get better as the season progresses, especially since it will most likely mean who wins the AL Central.

The Boston/NY rivalry is really only interesting to fans of those two teams, and the east coast dominated media.

The most interesting rivalry, in all of sports, imho, is the rivalry between the University of Missouri Tigers and the University of Kansas Jayhawks. It has its roots in the Civil War, when at one point the "Tigers" of Missouri raided and burned the town of Lawrence, home base of the Kansas Jayhawks, or "Jayhawkers".

Detroit and Cleveland. They just beat the tar out of each other. Also Detroit and Minn will get good as the year progresses.
