Ball & chain: I'm sorry for your loss, love.
elf: I hear you about the pain part. I don't want mine to be a long-drawn out ordeal, preferably I'd like to go with a smile on my face...

I am not sure. Death doesn't scare me. As a Christian I believe that after this life is eternity. But if I were to know I was to die within the hour I would say that I am not ready. Id like to say that I live every day as if it was my last, but I don't. I don't tell my family I love them every time I hang up or leave them. There are so many things that would be left unfinished. Fearful of my death...no...but peace with it....ummmm...not so sure.

I live each day as if it were my last, and will embrace death when it comes. That doesn't mean that I don't love life, it just means I've accepted the reality that dying is very much a part of living!
Great question!

Hmm I can't believe so many people say they are at peace. I think that state is achieved by few people. Some of the answerers I know are really young, so come on! At peace? What if they were told they will die tomorrow. 99.99% would freak out, believe me.

I used to be very afraid to die, Ive lost lots of sleep over it. Then, last year my baby boy earned his angel wings and ever since, I have ot been scared. I almost cant wait so that I can be with him again but I still have two others here on earth who I dont want to leave anytime soon.

When i was a child i used to think i was going to live forever and that i am the only person in the world that never dies, but seriously we would all like to think this even now but reality is it's going to creep on us all eventually and theres nothing we can do about it...

Death is a door, not the end but I'm slightly anxious about the pain that normally precedes it.
