New cars: toyota does not have a line of sport cars.
Correction: neither the celica nor the spyder are for sale anymore, they are out of production, because of Scion line up, toyota does not make sport cars anymore.
Why the spyder is not for sale anymore?
To heavy, expensive, and insurance is way high for any age, and because toyota did not reach enough sales after its production.
what did happen to celica?
Ask the Scion guys why.

There is a new toyota concept car that is a hybrid that they have been testing out called the Toyota FT-HS. It is both electric and deisel. And can go 0 to 60 in about 4 secs. Read about it here.

Years ago Toyota exported the Supra for the US market.
I beleive the market stopped being profitable for the car.(Nissan has only recently produced the Z car for export-they used to export the Z then they stopped, now they are exporting it again).
You might try Road&Track magazine on-line for any future news.

they weren't selling well...so they cut out the supra, celica and mr2...basically they got rid of these and gave us the scion tC...which seems to be the best you can get from em at this point...i did hear that the supra may come back as a supercar....one of the 6 figure type cars...nothing normal people can or will ever afford...
