I try the display property and my computer crash when I press OK.
I know my computer can use 1024x780 because I have seen it!

Sounds like you lost your video drivers. From the windows control panel, select system, then Device Manager. See if you have anything with an exclamation point. If so, right click and select properties. You should see a driver tab and an option to reinstall.

If you have a brand name computer just search for the model number's video drivers on their web site

Sounds like you have a corrupt, wrong or outdated video drivers. If the video card came with the PC, go to the manufacturer of the PC's website. If you installed it yourself, go to the card manufacturer's website. Download the latest drivers for the card (free). Once installed that should resolve the issue.

Try right clicking on the desktop and clicking property's. then you go to appearance and drag the bar if that doesn't work then you may need to install a driver or reinstall windows

Go to device manager and remove the video display driver and then reboot the computer. It will automatically install it when you reboot.

right click anywhere on ur screen and choose properties and then click on the settings tab, then find the "screen resoluion" area and change it to whatever u want!

your monitor is not big enough to handle the resolution
maybe your graphics card is not good enough to go that high
