The more processed the food, the more unhealthful it can be.
Aside from the salt and fat, Pepperoni salami, cured meats have nitrates in them nitrates have been linked to cancer.
Don't get me wrong, I love it all. But ANYTHING in excess can be bad for you -- all things in moderation.

I think that the fats that cook out of the meats and cheeses into the pizza are considered by some to be not so healthy. By taking a couple of paper towels and gently dabbing or blotting the excess oils and grease from the pizza after coming out of the oven might not make it healthier it certainly cuts down a little on the saturated fats. Plus it might give you a little peace of mind in making you feel you have done something to better your health.

the only unhealthy thing about pizza is the oil that they put on it. Also, the carbs from the bread and crust turn into sugar and eventually into fat as it goes through the digestive system. Sometimes what is in the sauce has unhealthy fats such as trans fats and saturated fats, which are being banned from restaurants. (trans fats have already been banned but the government is working on banning saturated fats as well)

The carbs for one...empty calories that if you don't use them get turned into fat...mostly from the dough. The cheese is usually regular cheese which is very high in fat. If you make your own you could substitute a lower fat cheese and whole wheat flour but it wouldn't taste the same. Also depending on the toppings you like it could add tons more fat/calories. Pepperoni is my favorite and it is loaded with grease. I say eat regular pizza just do it occasionally instead of weekly or something like that. Good luck!

You can eat pizza but u have to limit yourself to eat two slices if that.. Due to the fact that it contains a high volume of fat , so try to limit you pizza to at least once a week.. !
Take care!

Pizza is one of the best Italian food u can ever have. There is nothing wrong with the Pizza except they are cheesy and healthy, but it all depends on the Place were it is made. i.e. Pizza Oven , Some places has the old ovens, if they don't clean the inside of the ovens regularly , some time the under neath of the pizza may contains some black carbon residue. if some eats that kind of pizza it would be harmful for health and may cause diarrhea and vomiting.Other wise the pizzas are good.
hhmmm cheer up.!!!!!!!!

Nothing is unhealthy about Pizza. Unless you are trying to stay away from Carbs. Then it would be the Dough. One of the Pizza Chains, I believe it was Domino's offered a no-dough pizza. It was actually pretty good.

1] cheese is high in fat, calories
2] pepperoni [ 80% fat ] sausage, bacon, VERY high in fat, calories
3] order a veggie pizza, and only eat two slices - that usually equates to an average 'healthy' meal.
4] 'blot' your pizza with a napkin before you eat it - it soaks up
a lot of grease!
