To answer you question easily Yes eBay is where I get most of my stuff, And swap meets(flea Markets) are also a good place. I also find them in self storage auctions (owner don't pay rent on storage and storage place auctions off contents). And also I come across an store going out of business or that is out of business I look for the games hidden with in. You may also try placing an add might get people to help find resources locally for you.

I have another Idea, a projetc of sort. Depending on your ages of your youth make a project of building an arcade. Basic woodworking skills, and electronics is really all that is needed. Most of your supplies should be able to be donated to you by a lumber yard, local carpenters, ect and for a TV who ever. the control panel would have to be made with special products (joystick, buttons, etc...) all the control panel stuff is about 60 -100 bucks. you can connect to many different game consoles or a computer. Look at this and see what can be achieved by building one. Realize this guy built a monster: http://www.dave-gallagher.net/arcade/porn/page17.htm

Good luck in what you need, and Thanks for working with the youth of today making them the great people of our future....

You have to hunt around on ebay.com. Lots of people buy them and refurnish them. Like my dad's friend. They spend a lot of time with them.
