DO NOT take a baby to the movies! gezz!
the movie is going to be loud...TOO loud for baby's ears, that will make him/her cry, which will only piss off the ppl around you.
and the other ppl at the theater went to the movie, not to help you babysit. if your cousin is letting you take his/her baby to a movie theater they are clueless parents!

How old is the baby??
Mine is almost 9 months..we have thought about it a few times...I read that if they don't enjoy it, they sleep. But I don't know....Some movies are loud, which could scare the baby. Also, some people might complain if they see you bringing a baby in. My son watches a little TV, but he seems to lose interest very quickly..and that seems typical with a most babies and toddlers. Oceans 13 does not sound like a movie that would entertain a child of any age. Shrek 3 might be a possibilty,...but even thats pushin it in my experience.
You expect people at the movie to help you? Thats...kinda weird. Why are you babysitting if you are that inexperienced?

Bad idea. The movie will be too loud and the baby will cry. You might think the baby will just sleep the whole time, and he might, but he probably won't. The other people who are there to watch the movie won't want to help you babysit. If you are babysitting, stay home and rent a movie.

Oceans 13? Are you serious. Maybe if you were going to see a G rated movie...maybe. And only then if the child were old enough to listen to and follow directions. I have a 2 1/2 year old and am not planning on taking him to the movies for several more years...and then only to a G rated movie. Not because I'm paranoid about what he might see, but because you have to respect other movie goers!
Also, don't even expect others to help you...that's just rude!

Before you do that I would suggest talking to your cousin, it is her baby and has asked you to babysit. How old is the baby? I would personally not take my baby to the movies at a young age. They obviously will not understand anything and if she starts crying you have to be responsible and leave as to not disturb others... then you just paid money to watch a movie that you didn't really watch.

Do you really want to be that inconsiderate person at the theater who brought their kid to an adult movie. You're gonna get a lot of people yelling at you to be quiet, and making rude comments. Put the movie off for another weekend, the theater is no place for a baby. Did you really think the baby would enjoy the movie, his/her attention span is probably 10 minutes.

if you're in a movie theater most people will not try to help you babysit. they will get upset and angry if the baby makes a lot of noise, and will think that the idea of bringing the baby in the 1st place was stupid. i think the age you should start with is maybe 2 or 3. When they're in the toddler stage.

Forget about the people in the theater, worry about the baby. Theaters are very loud, dark, and the seats are very close together. If he starts fussing, it may be very hard to calm him, and don't count on others helping you. More likely they will get annoyed at you and start saying things to you. I took my daughter with me when I went to see "World Trade Center" She started fussing about 1/2 hour into the movie, so I got up to calm her down in the hall, and as I walked out, I heard people mutter things like "stupid" and "what were you thinking" and the like. All in all, unless it's a kid's movie, it's not a great idea to take a young baby to a movie.

Well how old is the baby? Old and loud enough to bother the other people?
I personally get very annoyed when a younger child is brought into an adult movie.
P.S.- who are you expecting to help you babysit? Other family members or theater staff??

bad idea the movies are too loud and your going to pay 5-10 bucks to get a ticket for the baby and they don't even know what is going on. plus you don't know if the movie will scar the baby so it do the things it remembers from the movie
