have the problem when you start the ttc discussion and then your husband abstains from intercourse and says it just because I am tired. Do you believe it or is it just coincidence?

Yeah, that sounds a bit familiar. My husband was the one that brought up the idea of having kids so I thought we were good to go. And then...nothing. His work is legitimately stressing him out so I waited a couple days before mentioning it. We just had a really good conversation. I think I was over-reacting. I am totally absorbed in having a baby and of course its happening to my body so I am a lot more clear on the details. I showed him the calendar and marked the days that I am the most fertile. He didn't realize the urgency I had because he didn't understand the time limits. Hopefully things will work out for you two. Just make sure you are communicating like crazy.

Hey April!

In this case, you have to ask how he feels about having children. Does he even WANT to have children? If he feels like he's in some plot to achieve your dream of having a child, he might treat you funny during the course of your marriage.

Seriously, just make sure you two are on the same page.

I think it's just a coincidence. My hubby does that too...I'll get all ready to mess around (shower and everything)... I go downstairs into the living room, and what do i see? Him snoring away on the sofa. Another night shot to hell.
Does your man realize that we only have a limited window of opportunity to conceive every month?

GOOD LUCK

coincidence, he is not been honest
he is trying to please you when you guys talk if he had agrees to ttc but actually not ready yet
you should just see what he come up with next time & if next month he is still not doing his part talk to him
and tell him to come clean
**Tell him that if he is not ready or have any concern he need to discuss it with you and you don't mind waiting for when he is ready but you are hoping it will be soon
Good luck

did it happen once or over three or four days? does he want to have kids yet? you mention you starting talking but did you BOTH agree to start to try? did he agree reluctantly? i think another talk is in order if it keeps happening - and listen to what HE says not just your biological clock.

good luck!
