I have a friend who claims he won a million dollars law against a company he worked for. The case was on discrimation. He says it is now being refer as a case law in Gerogia. I don't have any other information other than his name and the company name. To be honest, I am being noise. He keeps bragging about $$$ he won. It happen approxiatley 10-15 years ago.

You can search for free by parties name on the following website. http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/index.html
If it is not there, and he is claiming it is being used as case law, he is most likely lying. Also, there would be a record of it in the state that it was filed. A case like that would be public record, and you could get a copy of the judgment (that would contain the amount that he was awarded). Also, some states have a database containing at least the docket (that would also contain the judgment amount). Some states allow you access to these databases for free and some make you pay for it.

I'll try help you. Tell me your "friend's" name. I can research the case law for you, if in fact it's case law. I need to also know the name of the company he sued.

if you have a lawyer friend, they can look it up on the PACER Database or if its old enough, its already published in several books.

Usually its something like
Name of Person (plaintiff) vs. Name of company (defendant) , and give a year to for your search.
