If he stays healthy, A-Rod is on pace for 800 homeruns, so I say he will break the record.

I do not think he will break Barry Bonds single season mark this year. He only has 21 after a hot start where he hit 14 in April. Has really cooled off. Do I think he could eventually break the single season record. Yes. He is also the odds on favorite to break the all time record after Bonds bypasses Hank Aaron. He has at least 10 good years ahead of him and could easily hit 350 more. He will turn 32 in July. He is at 485 now which would give him 835. No way will Bonds get close to that number.

He will soon be the youngest player to ever reach the 500 home run mark. I think that alone should give him an advantage to break the all-time record, what ever it may be.

As long as stays healthy and averages a meeger 33 home runs a year he should make it before he's 40. If continues to play into his 40's like Bonds and Aaron he could finish his career with over 800.

Hard to say - using Bill James' predictors, A-Rod ends up with just over 700 homers for his career, and has about a 31% chance of breaking the record. Personally, I believe that's low, and I think he's got about a 50-50 shot.

If he stays on pace -- and there is nothing to indicate that he won't because power hitters tend to get better as they age -- he will shatter the HR record utterly.

If he halves his pace but still plays a long time, he'll still beat the HR record by a wide margin.

So, yes, I think that he will definitely break the HR record.

Barring any significant injury and ARod playing until he's about 41-42.

ARod will need to continue to hit at least 40 or so HRs well into his 30s.

But all odds are pointing to ARod being able to break Barry Bonds undeserving record.

If he stays healthy...yes. Thats the only question there is. Remember Griffey, he would be right there if it hadn't been for injuries.
It will be much more celebrated too considering he'll be breaking Bonds record then.

The single season record or all-time record? Single season, probably not. All-time, yes.

he's definately on the appropriate music. His %. is remarkable. whilst he instruments it, he extra effectual no longer be enjoying for the Yanks. that could desire to easily provide long island extra baseball stats to gloat approximately.
