ok i deliver pizza's as a part time job while in college...
I'm curious to see if it's just my Crap Hole town that stiffs the drivers (meaning don't tip). How much do you tip drivers? remember they have car expenses and gas expenses etc.

my Job charges $1.50 per delivery and we only get half that.... is that fair?

Yes, I always tip pizza delivery drivers. I tip the full 15% (if not more) even if there is already a delivery charge, since I don't know if the driver gets the delivery fee or if that goes to the pizza place for having to hire drivers. Pet Peeve: pizza places shoiuld not keep advertising and encouraging people to order for pizza delivery and then have a delivery charge. This makes it harder on the delivery person too since many people feel this covers the drivers's tips.

I tip $2.00 unless I am ordering a lot of pizzas, like for a party, then I tip 15% of the order because the driver can't do as many runs if he has to carry that many pizzas.

I tip 3-5 dollars depending on if the restaurant charges a delivery fee. I always assume the fee goes to the drivers incase they get stiffed. I hope it does anyway.

Usually 5 dollars. One time the guy got it there in 15 minutes so I gave him 7.Where I live the price automatically goes up when the gas does.

i have worked as a pizza driver myself and i give the change or a couple bucks whatevers more and your store should be giving you money for the each run you have and if they don't it's a shi!!y joint and you need to go work at dominoes at least they give you 50 cents a delivery

I realize that pizza delivery guys/girls are usually trying to support themselves or families, so anywhere from $3-5

Your company doesn't reimburse you for gas expenses? I would quit. But you can claim them on your taxes. I usually tip about a dollar and change. I know thats not much but I'm poor and pizza is expensive enough. And if they have a delivery fee I barely tip.

Well, i usually tip around $3.00 to $6.00 depending if they actually got it there in time or no later than the (45 minute wait). It really depends though. Hope your job works out for ya in the future. =D
