I like the guy from Metallica cuz he just go for ever, and the drummer from Trivium is just amazing. So what do you think?

to me The drummer is the best part of a band since if there was no beat it wouldnt be music to me.I personally think Travis Barker. I dont know about the best drummer EVER but he is devinetly my faverite. i just got to see him with his band +44. and he was playng most of there songs with one hand while he smoked with his other lol...it was pretty awesome. and he has a great personality. But the HOTEST drummer ever is the drummer in Nickleback...hes hot...so is tommy lee.
but some classic great drummers are phil collins, buddy rich,etc.

Man I started there. Check some history. Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Steve Smith, Bernard Purdie, Steve Gadd, Neil Peart. Lars is good, but the best ever is a big stretch.

I'll give you a clue- he didn't play no rock'n'roll! Buddy Rich, the drummer's drummer, was the greatest stickman ever. No serious, knowledgeable musician or music fan would dispute this. There are very few absolutes in this world of ours, but this is most definitely one of them.

Jason Bittner is one. Look him up on YouTube at his modern drummer festival. He is amazing. Neil Pert from Rush is quite good also.
