My boyfriend's birthday is coming up really soon and he wants an X-box 360. It's a surprise so I'm going behind his back to get him one. The only thing is that I don't know which one to get him? the XBox 360 console with the 20GB or the Xbox 360 core???? He LOVES viedo games and already has an PS and PS2. So which is the best option?? What's the difference of the two??? Please help me!

the premium version (the one with the 20gb hd), even though its more expensive..the core lacks a lot of stuff that your bf is gonna want.

get him the premium system. the features and accessories would cost you more than 400 dollars if you were to get the core system. it saves you tons of money in the long run because any gamer, casual or hardcore, would find great use for what is included in the premium system. I finally bought my 360 two days ago, and i pre-ordered and bought Halo 3 two days before i even had a 360. Oh, and if he's anything like any other person on the Earth, it would really make his day if you bought/pre-ordered him Halo 3, which is set to release September 25. Oh, and for the guy that said the Elite is going to be released in a couple months, umm..... its been out almost 2 months now. Xbox 360 is far supperior to anything right now, TONS of fun, and the premium system is a must, otherwise, it makes gaming very dull and short lived, because you cant save anything, and what would be the point of that?

Get the one with the 20 gb Harddrive. Its more expensive, but the one without the harddrive is useless. You literally cannot play games on it. You'd have to buy a seperate Harddrive for it anyways. So, make things easier on yourself and get the one with the 20gb hard drive. I have one a love it.

Preorder an Xbox 360 Elite and give him the reciept so he can go pick it up when it comes out in a few months.

i would get the premium. but does he already have an xbox? i would make sure he likes xbox's, because it seems he loves play station. maybe u should consider a ps3 for him since he already has a ps and a ps2. but its up to u.

get the elite. I ordered mine from bestbuy.com and got it in about 3 days. it is well worth the extra money to have the 120gb harddrive with all of the online content that you can download. not to mention the hdmi output if you have a 1080p tv.
