First, lower taxes. Lowering taxes are a sure fire way to boost the economy. Getting rid of gas taxes alone will lower gas by 50 cents per gallon. Most people I know now pay around 30% of their income in taxes making it the second largest bill they have next to their mortgage. This is just wrong.

Second , reduce the size of government. Getting rid of some of these bloated , useless government organizations, like TSA for instance would be a good start. How about getting rid of the CIA. Hey anyone remember 9/11, weapons of mass destruction? I would have fired the whole staff for that alone. How about the Bordor Patrol, wow, their doing such a good job, huh? Fire all them too.

Third, make transportation a priority in this country. I really think we are lagging behind the rest of the 1st world in Trains, Planes and Automobiles. I can't believe that the Autobahn is now statistically safer than our own highways in the U.S. are. Also I can't believe how hard and expensive it is to get a pilots license and purchase a plane. You get more people in the air for short flights and you get more cars off the road, taking care of two problems at once. Also, where are the high speed trains? How in world does Japan and Europe have these and we don't?

1.) Immigration : Because the way our country handles the issue right now is not fair to Natural born citizens or to those who immigrated legally.

My 2nd issue is a tie between two issues.

2.)
a. Abortion: Because This is an issue that has to much slack and is contributing to the demise of the moral fabric of modern day society. There needs to be restrictions at mininmum.

b. Child neglect/molestation: I wish more was done to punish those who choose to prey upon our most innocent citizens, I want tougher punishment and more effective programs for those who want to exploit and harm children.
You can link this to abortion, because statistics show that girls who get molested and/or neglected are at higher risk for premature sex and possible unwanted pregnancies leading to abortion and a life of depression and problems.

3.) Terrorism: It is an issue weather you agree with the Iraq conflict or not that needs to be addressed. We can't go on saying "OH WELL" it's always been and always will be. That isn't going to minimize the effects it has accross the globe. I would like to see a more unified effort in the world to conquer the problem.. I know it's never going to be fully extinct but we can do all we can to help make it less a problem.

Interest groups: Stop pandering to them and think for yourselves. They have way too much power in this country and are hindering economic progess (i.e. farm subsidies, particularly those pertaining to ethanol - it's driving up food prices, and we have a tax on foreign ethanol)

Social Security: Eliminate it in favor of some form of privatization. People need to stop using the government as a crutch and spend their money wisely (I make less than $30K, yet I'm still able to save and invest).

Illegal Immigration/Iraq War: I group these together because they are both related to national security. We need to toughen our immigration standards and not allow amnesty for illegal aliens. We need to rethink our strategy in Iraq, but not leave immediately, as that would open up channels for Iran and other terrorist states to exert control over a key part of the world.

As an addendum for Special E: Federal gasoline taxes are 18.4 cents and state taxes vary. Eliminating them would definitely lower the gas prices. However, there would be no roads to drive on because that is what funds our road maintenance. The current federal tax hasn't been raised in a decade and will be running a deficit soon. Getting rid of the CIA and border partol? I hope that was sarcasm. As for high speed trains: they work better in Europe and Japan because these countries are much smaller and much more densely populated than the U.S. This is not meant to degrade, but to inform.

i do no longer comprehend if that often is the main serious concern, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is a element. I certainly have forged my vote interior the previous based completely on making confident that the varieties of Justices i wanted have been appointed. This election, what I do will rely on who the appropriate noms are, and who each and each selects as their working friends. while all else fails, and that i'm nevertheless uncertain, I do look at skill appointments to help instruction manual me. 1. Foreign Policy and Iraq War - its very important to stop dumb wars so that we have money for our people, for education, and facilities instead of buying and using weapons.

2. Minorities Rights (LBGT, Immigrants) - we all should have equal rights, like marriage, and in the workplace, still minorities don't at many times, and this country's foundation is based on equality. Also to add to minorities, immigration laws should be enforced and no amnesty unless they have been here for a long time working.

3. Insurance and Health care - many work and work, and still don't have enough for medicine, operations and treatments. Its very important to maintain the health of the people, specially now that obesity and related illnesses are on the rise.
