I want to know 8.9 % of 500 what is the amount?
It's easy on whole number but what about decimals percentage?

.089 * 500 = 44.5

You said it was easy with whole numbers, so what is 9% of 500?
9% of 500 = 0.09 x 500 = 45
8.9% means 8.9/100 or 0.089
9% means 9/100 or 0.09
