I'm looking for kind of a sophisticated word but any suggestion(s) would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to say like " 'doing well' everything I could control". I kind of want to say "dominate" but that makes absolutely no sense in context. kind of like "maximizing the opportunity" or something like that? Thanks for your input.

You're getting good suggestions. I'd advise to be careful choosing, depending on your purpose. If this is for an application or for a resume, you want to carefully, carefully consider nuances of the words you choose. You know there's a fine line there........you don't want to come across as arrogant or full of yourself, yet you DO want to convey that you're well qualified and highly capable.

Good luck!!!!

How about: I master at this subject for what is expected of me! Or if it is for casual conversation you could say: I am the Man at this sport!
I hope that was helpful.

How about "excel"? Other words you could work into a good phrase are "succeed" and "surpass".
