I think that they are headed down the right track right now, young pitching staff, Peavy has the Cy Young wrapped up and its not even July yet. Chris Young is a future All-Star, Adrian Gonzo might have the most fluent and effortless swing in the majors right now. Hoffman closing in on 500, relying on a Changeup all of his carrer. My prediction, Win Division and make it past first round.

"Pitching and Defense wins ballgames" The Padres have plenty of both.

Kevin Towers and Sandy Alderson are also doing a great job in acquiring "Petco Park type players". This year, they have a very good home record and a good road record.

I think that the Padres will be in the division race until the end and I think that they might beat out the Dodgers who have great pitching but poor defense.

I have a few favorite players on the Padres - not just one. Among them, I would list Khalil Greene, and Trevor Hoffman but others are on my list, too.

I think the Padres are the best team in the NL West. They don't have a real explosive offense but their pitching is good enough to get through the rest of the West. Their best player has to be Jake Peavy but I think Adrian Gonzales is going to be a stud for years to come.

I love the Dodgers.
But San Diego it has a wonderful pitching staff.
It has good hitters, good power hitters and if those hitters get going thst team will win a lot of ball games.

I think California has too many teams and the padres should move to Canada.

I think if they get Adam Dunn as rumored earlier today, i'll sh*t a brick.

I think they have no offense, too many Giles', and not enough Peavy's. They are massively overperforming.
