well several of my best friends I didn't meet, but grew up with. and I am 25 years old so.
Others I have know for longer than not knowing them.
I need a new best friend though because being 25 I have changed a lot and so have they I need to find new people to hang out with.

My husband is my best friend. We have been married for 26 year next month and we dated for a couple of years before that. So around 28 years.
We met while I was visiting a friend and he was helping my friend's neighbor move. He was drunk and I didn't really like him all that much.
Don't ask how we ended up dating and getting married. That was back while I was in college and I lovingly refer to that as "my fuzzy days".

I've known her since 1981 when she started going to the same school I went to, but we were not friends at first. I graduated in 1982 and in January of 1983 she started dating my brother. When she started dating my brother I really did not like her at all. But, they stayed together and we became friends. Her and my brother got married in 1991, so she's been in my life for over 26 years now.

One I've known all my life. Our families knew each other before we were even born. So 21 years and he has been my bf for 3 years
The other I've known for 13 years, we met in elementary school

I have (had) three best friends; two of them are one week and one week and a day younger than me...so I've known them for 44 years; my other best friend I knew for 34 years before she passed away. I met them all in my home town

My best friend is a girl in high school.. only known her for about two years. She's amazing and hopefully will be my best friend for the rest of my life :D

I have several, but my 2 bestest ones I've had for the last 10-11 years. I was friends with their boyfs/husbands before they were their boyfs/husbands. We've been stuck together ever since.
One of my nearest and dearest guy friends I met when I was 7 when we moved in across the street from him, he too married one of my other best friends....makes its 23 years for him and I.
