My mum was my role model. She spoke many a true word. She was my best friend and I really admired her.

I don't want to sound corny but my mum is a pretty good role model for me. I mean, she married my dad at nineteen and is still with him 25 years later (and she wasn't pregnant at the time!) and she is really good for her age like she goes to the gym and she has a really good fashion sense and always looks great, and she has just got her uni degree after working so hard for it, and she is generally just a nice person. I remember baking cakes with her and having picnics in the garden. She gave my brother and I all her effort and all she had when we were little (and still does in a laid back sort of way) and I really respect her for that, and it is my aim to be that sort of mum to my kids.
