Nope not "ALL" dogs snore loudly. Because of their short face, most Pugs snort, snuffle, wheeze, grunt, and snore loudly. The sounds are endearing to some people; nerve-wracking to others. I've never heard a Shih Tzu snore.

Not now because don't live beside dogs that bark all night. Used to and I for one can't see how the dog owners can sleep all night while the dog /s bark continually.
(Makes me want to go out all day 'n night, while leaving a christian radio station, Heavy Metal band playing full blast into their back yard!) LOL

no.... but I have an opinion... people who let their dogs bark incessantly are being unfair to their neighbors and the dogs... some little dogs really have yappy, annoying barks... I like dogs with a deep, resonant bark... but mostly I like dogs that don't need to bark much... When I lived out West in the country, I had a dog that had a great bark... it sounded almost like his throat was strained, but the vet said he was fine... and when I moved back in the city and let him out in the yard, when he wanted to come back inside, he would come to the back door and bark once... he was a great dog... for other reasons too... I miss him.

I bought this great product for my dog. It's a collar that lightly sprays citronella each time he barks. It worked like a charm and I only have to use it for emergencies now. And, my younger dog has stopped bugging him because she would get the spray, too, when he barked.

yes, in our previous home, the neighbour's dog was so loud and every time it barked it felt like something just jumped up from my stomach, i not only considered ear plugs but also sedatives for the dog.
