For those that played it and remember it, Tecmo & Tecmo Super Bowl were really good games....for real!
I wonder why Tecmo stopped making the games? It ruled before Madden came out. I remember times, in the late 80s to early 90s, when Tecmo Super Bowl would be sold out in the stores for days and sometimes even weeks because of its popularity. It also was the first football game that I remember having an NFL license....so all of the teams on the game were just like the teams in real life!

Yeah, Terry. I know a lot of people who used to do the same thing. I used to reserve the game days ahead of time so that I could rent it as soon as the customers returned it!

As for you, Pepper,.....the graphics would be upgraded man. lol!

Personally I think Tecmo Super Bowl was the greatest game ever made, bar none. That being said, it would be disrespectful to put it through the rigors of upgrading the graphics and gameplay to work with the PS3 and such. Besides, when they got done with it I think it would be like a Madden carbon copy. Great question, though.

I think you can download emulators for X-Box and play Techmo on them now. Not entirely sure because I don't do that, but that game was amazing. It would be nice to have a football game that had all the fun without all the complexity. Maybe someone will someday release a "History of Video Game Football" pack for all consoles. How awesome would that be?

that would be kind of weird...because tecmo super bowl has terrible graphics...and it would not fit in with any of those gaming systems...maybe nintendo...super nintendo lol

That would be so cool. It would make want to consider getting one of those consoles.
