Okay here is the deal. DDR and DDR2 RAM is double pumped meaning it sends two pieces of data every clock cycle. So, it effectively runs at twice the speed it actually runs at. Manufacturers list the effective speed, not the actual speed. So what is labeled as 667Mhz RAM actually runs at 333Mhz, so your RAM is running at the speed it is supposed to.

Check your Bios settings. You may have an option to change the frequency.

Check your manual for your motherboard: the option to the change the speed may be on the motherboard

Check with your manufacturer of the Motherboard, there may exist a firmware update to support that speed of RAM

No, you may be able to use either one by itself, but running them together will either cause both of them to run at 333mhz or at 667 mhz, depending upon the refresh rate of the ram in the slot closest to the processor. Or, your processor might not tolerate it and refuse to start the bios p.o.s.t...and might not restart.

ram only runs at the speed the motherboard is rated to use. did you check and see what your motherboard would use prior to buying ram.
i'd just be glad it works at all.
