They say if you don't support the war you don't support the troops
If you don't support the new immigration bill you dont want to do wants right for America.

People like Bill O'Reilly, Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, are really annoying the hell outa of me with their constant tantrums toward people who don't agrre with them. I woulld like to ask if most conservatives agree with these people and the charges always throw at liberals about the war and homeland security.

Im not saying the liberals do everything right, or alot of things right for that matter, but at least they don't insult their opponents.

I should probly say more conservatives insult their opponents compared to their liberal counterparts. Nancy Pelosie does not tell people to f off when they disagree with her as does Cheney.

This question isnt about whos right and whos wrong so dont bring it up, the conservatives arent as "polite" as liberals are.

I think that anyone who listens to these people, and feels that "they are simply expressing their opinion" has clearly not been listening to other news outlets, who put their opinoin out in a clean manner, not in vulgar hating words.

Ruth talked about principle, which this discussion is not about. it is about the need for politicians, especially conservatives, to be courtesies in their deelings with their opponents. I fell extremely repulsed from the republican party when I hear Dick Cheney tell someone else to f off because he disagrees with him. If you beleive someone iswrong tell them but don't screem and make fun of them. It is a huge turnoff for conservatives.

Why?

Because for many conservatives, their whole worldview has to be nice and neat, black and white, simplest terms, with no loose ends.

For too many conservatives, there is absolutely no "gray area." They are far less capable of compromise than any liberal.

For too many conservatives, their major guidelines for life come from the Bible. It's all "the Bible says this, the Bible says that." It's their way or the highway. Too bad they miss the part about how to treat one's neighbor and loving one's enemies.

And, some of the conservative "regulars" here at Y/A have banded into a nice, neat little "mutual admiration society" via Yahoo 360º where they trash other liberals and conspire to report their Answers and try to get their Yahoo accounts suspended. Pathetic children's games.

Deno, what you are missing here is that people like Rush, Hannity, Savage, etc. are political commentators. They listen to what everyone has to say and they are expressing their own opinion. Not that of the GOP. Much like you are doing in your question.

I listen to these guys. What they capitalize on is how the democratic message changes constantly based on the poll numbers. For example, there is a 5 minute segment of Hillary Clinton and her various flip flops on the Iraq war. Once she is boasting about it authorizing it, the other she is boasting success in capturing Sadam, the other she is whining about the Iraq war to appease potential voters. Where is the conviction on this issue?

So if you are going to flip flop on positions, you are subject to criticism.

Think about what you are asking! Why would you ever uphold a position that you thought was WRONG? And if you do hold that position, wouldn't the opposition necessarily be WRONG?

What you are suggesting is that people water down their philosophies so that you can feel more comfortable with your own.

And I would never expect a non-conservative to water down their positions for me. And I will not water down my positions for them. It's called PRINCIPLE.

And if you operate on the assumption that "liberals... don't insult their opponents," you either just got here or have the blindness that seems to be a symptom of the anti-con disease.

If those idiots bother you don't listen. They are on the air only because there are people listening to them. If enough people stop listening it is no longer profitable for the network and so off they go in a New York second.

Advertisements on radio and TV are based on the number of listeners or viewers the program gets. That means more people to see or hear their commercial. If people are tuned to a different station than they won't hear the ads on that program and therefore they spent money for nothing.

Same reason that liberals think everyone who disagrees with THEM is wrong. It is normal to thing that your opinions are corect, therefore all other opinioms are incorrect. If you don't think liberals insult those who disagree either you aren't paying attention or you have a very restrictive definition of insult.

Everyone thinks that anyone who disagrees with them is wrong. If you don't think they're wrong....then you must think you're wrong. Duh!

Liberals don't insult their opponents? What did you just do to "people like Bill O'Reilly, Hannity, Rush Limbaugh." You insulted them........enough said.

I am quite conservative, and I think supporting the troops is much more important than supporting the war, I also am not in favor of naturalizing immigrants. as for the Media right-wingers, that's how they make their living, the more 'Shock Factor' they can initiate the more green flows into their pocket. though a lot of times I agree with their basic premise, they tend to go oveboard to increase profit.

I dont support everything that is Republican sponsored, especially immigration amnesty, just to mention a main one.

However, I think both sides insult each other as an honest opinion. If you think one side or the other doesn't insult, then you lean to that particular side. Both sides are pretty equal on ugliness.

So naive. Saying liberals don't insult conservatives is like saying atheists never say Christians are wrong, just the other way around. There are plenty of insults flying from both sides of the fence.

SIMPLE - RIGHT AND WRONG NEVER CHANGE. What's good and acceptable 100 years ago (not killing for one) is still the right thing to do. What is wrong 100 years ago is still wrong (like lying).
We don't CHANGE because society gets more deviant. We hold on to traditional values and morals. That's a GOOD THING!

Note to my paranoid stalker John Doe...we do NOT get together and plot to have people kicked off. That's silly. We DO however talk about how ridiculous you are...yes - THAT we do! AND...how is that different than your 360 LIBERAL friends (if you have any)?
