I'm going into my sophomore year in highschool. I've been wanting to play football but now I'm having second thoughts. I never played a game before because I broke my arm 2 days before the first game 2 years ago, so I never really have had any experience. But now 2 years later, I weigh about 185 lbs. and about 5'10.5" tall. My bench max is 165, my squat max is 250, and I can clean about 135. I have decent speed, but can't block to well. Should I play football and if so what position.

I asked myself the same question in high school but I didn't have any experience so i didn't play. I still regret that decision today. Do it!

I'd say go and try out. The couch should be able to determine a few positions for you from which you can choose. If you like the try-out and you make the team, deside at that time if you want to play. Don't say "no" when you don't have to yet, give yourself a chance to like the sport.

Sound like a corner or slot back dependin how fast you are, play trust me, I played since I was 8, played through high school, it was the greatest thing I remember bout high school. You meet alot of new people, and you never know, could help with college admissions.

Sounds like you would be great at any position. You can learn blocking during practice sessions. If your parents say
its okay, then try out for the team. Good luck!
