You are such a lucky person honey because you're left- handed:
Advantages of being left-handed
• Reading and writing backwards and upside-down: Okay, it's not very useful, but it is cool. :) Generally, lefties can more easily write (or at least read) backwards or upside-down. Right-to-left is the natural direction for left-handers.
• Creativity: Lefties are dominated by the right hemisphere of the brain, which deals with music, art, perception, emotions, and other forms of abstract thinking.
• Driving: In countries where traffic keeps to the right side of the road (USA, Canada, etc.), lefties are more easily able to hand (or throw) change out to pay a toll, since they use their left hand. In left-side-of-the-road countries (UK, Australia, etc.), righties have this advantage, but lefties are better equipped to use a stick shift.
• Adaptability: Because their world is dominated by right-handed products, lefties are much more easily adaptable to right-handed tools and utensils than righties are to left-handed products. This can be helpful if a lefty breaks his dominant arm and is temporarily unable to use it.
• It's cool to be left-handed!

Well, maybe there COULD someday be a highway sysem where everyone drives on one side or another, but in the meantime we have left-hand drive in England, Jamaica, Hong Kong and other places, and right-hand drive elsewhere. If you drive on the right, left-hand drives are best (for passing, for example), while the opposite is true if somewhere uses left-hand drives. There's nothing worse than using a left-hand drive car in a left-hand highway system, for then passing becomes a game of chicken--it's hard to see ahead without moving the car into the opposite lane. Drivers from Hong Kong, however, have no real problem switching over to right-hand highways in Mainland China, and vice versa, and do it every day. I doubt that there's any advantage of one side over the other.

I am naturally left handed, but I was forced to write with my right hand when I was at School in the 1960s. The disadvantage of that was that I couldn't write properly until I was 14. Ever since, however, I've been able to use both hands for most things, and that's certainly an advantage. Mind you I didn't think so when I was younger, and struggling to write with the wrong hand.

Now, i'm from europe and in europe hadbal is quite popular. Not quite as popular as footbal (soccer) but almost. In handball left handed players are very sought after as they have e huge advantage over their right handed coleagues, as they have a greatter versatility in shooting from certain positions on the court. Indeed, haveing a good left handed player, and using hin in the right position can make the difference in tight games.

One advantage is in sports. Left-handed baseball players are well sought after and have better chances of being signed then a right-handed player.

Left-handers are wired into the artistic right hemisphere of the brain which makes them imaginative, creative, witty, obsessive, infuriating, delightful and original but NEVER DULL!
Of 12 astronauts who have walked on the moon, 4 were left-handers (including the second ever, Buzz Aldrin). That is 1 in 3 rather than 1 in 10, as you would normally expect.
Left-handers are twice as likely to pass the test for MENSA, the high IQ society.
A full THIRD of all US presidents since 1945 have been left-handed.
Your sense of humour is in the right side of the brain (left-hand dominant). It is no accident that so many of the great comics have been left-handed.
Left-handers have better 3-dimensional awareness and precision, this explains why there are so many great left-handed tennis players and why there are a lot of left- handed architects.

Yeah, you get to have a bit of a moan about it. At least nowadays you can purchase left-handed scissors and knives. In previous generations you'd have been locked up as an abberation, spawn of Satan etc be grateful!

Hi,
Well, if you're depressed then you get to die earlier because apparently statistics show that left-handed people have a shorter life-span - but I think that's just a coincidence...

I am predominately left-handed, but also ambidextrous in many activities. Left-handers are very creative, compassionate, and many times misunderstood by those in the world that are right-handed. To be left-handed is to be special!
