If they had the truck for two weeks, chances are they let the battery run down and just charged it up before you picked up the truck...have the battery charged and load tested at an Autozone or other parts store for free and maybe check the alternator output also. Have the shop replace your battery clamp too. It's possible that the ignition switch is bad on that old of a truck and could just be a coincidence but then again, maybe not. Won't crank at all or cranks but won't fire up?
I wish I had a dollar for every time I yelled at my tech's to shut off radio's and stuff so they wouldn't drain the battery down.

the two maximum basic problems with the ninety 5 cherokee turning over yet no longer commencing are the crank place sensor on the fringe of the transmission(frustrating to get at) and the %.-up coil interior the backside of the distributor. I in simple terms replaced the %. up coil on mine and it fastened it. Unfortunatley neither one is common to learn at homestead as a results of fact they're hooked as much as the workstation, yet a stable save can test it for you and permit you recognize which one is broken. Neither are incredibly frustrating to swap in case you have some understanding of automobiles. you additionally can to get your workstation to grant you fault codes by flashing the verify engine mild various circumstances. Do a seek on jeep cherokee fault codes, and it would be basic to locate an internet site with the technique and a record of codes. additionally in case you get the haynes restore instruction manual it has a record in there. BTW Mine has 238000 miles and remains going!
