About 50% of the time when I press my brakes or use my turn signal my vehicle almost stalls (did stall once), the radio turns off and back on, my speedometer gage goes down and back up, my security light comes on, the defrost turns on for some reason, and my seatbelt light flashes like it would when the car is first started. What could be the problem?

Bad alternator, or loose battery connection.

I would check for a ground problem there should be a braided metal strap at the back of the engine on the right side if I remember right it goes from the engine to the cowl (formally called the fire wall). if you don't have that check for a ground wire off of the negative battery terminal going to the finder. since your car starts and you didn't report battery problems I'm 90% sure you have a chassis ground problem.

bad ground cable,at battery or connection on motor.replace or clean both ends first.any recent wiring?could be a short in new wire hookup.sometimes a weak battery, will rob juice from electrical system cause engine stalling.some batteries will start the car ,when u start using the other stuff, fan, radio, ciggaret lighter.proves to be to much on battery. if battery checks out, your alternater would be next to check out.if batt cables look worn or corroded change immediately.could cause all these things.happy trails

As stated before, you have a poor ground connection somewhere---could be from corrosion, loose screw or bolt, pinched wire, ground strap missing or removed, etc...
Have a shop with good experience in electrical problems track it down....start with brake or turn signal circuit and ground---might be a common ground for a taillight bulb/socket.

Could be a short in the wiring, likely to be multiple. Alternator probably needs retooling as well. Time for a new car

I dont think its the alternator. Check your battery connection, and see if any of the wires in the engine bay are frayed or melted. If not, then it may be your voltage regulator.
