What is your opinion on when you buy something, then weeks later you find out that a friend or a family member buys the same thing, but always has to "out do" you, and turns around and says, "well, mine is better or bigger."
Not that I am jealous, and my hubby says that everyone likes what we have!
It just irks me sometimes.
Someone told me one time to go and rent an expensive car for a week and tell everyone that we bought it. LOL

yeah, it's a form of player-hatin'. They have to try to impress others or TRY to make someone else look bad to make themselves look good. But it's better to be a leader than a follower. They can copy you, but they can't copy your uniqueness or your style.

This use to bug the crap out of me. I'd like something or do something first then a friend or sister would began talking about it like it came from their idea. I brought it to my husbands attention and he made me realize that its a compliment when others follow my actions or taste in things.

After I thought about it, it just seemed a little immature on my part to let something so trivial bug me. Nobody can ever be you, you are a unique gift to those around you. Peace.

i like when i'm in the store and the stranger behind me buys what i buy cause i know i'm the great shopper. wait what prideful consumerism, how vain.

anyway, imitation is the sincerist form of flatery, i'm more embaressed than anything if someone is trying to do like me. and i'm insecure so i worry about leading people off a cliff. if they are trying to out do me and they're getting away with it it kinda sucks.

Sounds like you are trying to outdo others. Why do you care if they buy the same thing you have, only better. Unless you are competing. Grow up and get over it. Material things don't make you any better than anyone else.
