The owners of a corporation are the shareholders. The shareholders typically elect directors and the directors appoint officers.

The directors are in charge of setting the corporate course. The officers... CEO, CFO, etc... answer to the directors.

If your question is "If you have 2 owners, what are they called?" The answer is SHAREHOLDERS. If you want to know the title of the those individuals who direct management... whether it is 1 or several (varies with state requirements).. the answer is DIRECTORS. Officers are given power by the directors, so for management purposes it does not matter what they are called as long as the board of directors grants them the powers they need to execute their duties.

The title given to corporate officers must conform with all state requirements, if any. That information can be acquired from the department in your state's government that handles incorporations. (In California it is the Secretary of State.)

the basic principal of a corp allows mgmt to seperate from ownership, but it sounds like you'd like to keep them mingled. Each state has a statute for establishing and managing corporations. Ironically, lots of states don't recognize the office of "CEO"... there's been alot of title inflation in business over the past 10 years which has led to the diminutive treatment of the office of President. In most typical structures, the president reports to the CEO, and there's no reason you couldn't have 2 of either or both, but you should clarify the day to day responsibilities and boundaries for each person, especially if they are also an owner.

co-owner and co-owner would work for titles. They can be called pretty much anything they agree on.

You may have more than one CEO.
