Go have fun with the girls. This is a chance to get away and everyone needs that. You don't have to feel guilty about missing time with your hubby because he is away too. Everyone needs "me" time. Go have fun

I don't see what the problem is, marriage is about keeping your individuality within the working partnership. If he's insecure about your 'girls weekend' maybe you should sit down and ask him why and what he has concerns about. Personally I think you should go and have a good time but your husband may be feeling a little nervous about the possibility of you being away without him. Especially in a situation with other women who might encourage you to do a little flirting with someone else.
Talk to him and find out what's bothering him and try to work through it with him!

Does he trust you? Have any of the girls you are going away with ever done anything that would make him question their motives? Either way you should be able to go away with your girlfriends, if you don't go you will end up resenting him, if there is a reason he doesn't trust you then you need to work on that, and working up to going away would be a good compromise/starting place..

Don't let him be a control freak.
My husband knows better than to even think such controlling thoughts
Why doesn't yours?
Probably because he's done other things in the past in which he has controlled you...
Reassure him that it will be harmless fun...
don't give in if he still objects...
GO!
p.s. Usually it's cheaters that suspect their spouses.

We always take three holidays a year. One week as a family with the kids, one week just the two of us and one week he goes with his buddies ice fishing and I go with my friends somewhere in the Caribbean (the kids go to the grandparents). Whether or not it is acceptable to your husband, you have the right to do and say as you please...

Hopefully if you guys do go away apart nothing wil change. My husband left for 11 days and when he came back he wanted to separate. I regret ever letting him go away w/o me.

Your place is with your husband and he with you. That's how trouble starts.Even if you don't like the family, you should go with him.He should do one week with family and one week with you doing something you like.
